Pupil Referral Units

We work with Pupil Referral Units to deliver full support packages to local schools, so they can help students with additional needs reengage with education. We work together with our PRU customers to take a hybrid approach to supporting their young people. We provide access to our high-quality curriculum, freeing up resources for in-person vocational and pastoral support.

Academy21 offers provision for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and we can deliver this targeted provision at peak periods of capacity. PRUs partner with Academy21 to access:

Flexible programmes

We offer a range of solutions with varying lengths to fit the needs of students and schools. This includes interim provision while students await assessment and placement (from day 6), and long-term placements. Our extensive curriculum can also be delivered when it is most convenient for students. This flexibility in class timetables enables students to fit Academy21 classes around other school and personal commitments.

High-quality education

Our DfE-accredited curriculum is broad, balanced, and academically focused, with core courses and a range of additional courses on offer. All our teachers are subject experts, fully qualified and DBS-checked. Plus, they are highly experienced and trained in teaching online and in supporting students with a diverse range of needs.

Assistance during peak periods

Academy21 can be particularly useful during peak periods, when schools and PRUs may not have the resources required to accommodate students with additional needs. By working with Academy21 to support academic development, you can free up your resources and supplement our high-quality education with your pastoral support. Our enrolment process takes just two working days, so we can easily onboard new students and deliver high-quality education and personalised support from the get-go.

Reach out

Contact to our team via the form below or by calling us at 0800 208 8210 to discuss your needs in more detail.

Connect with your Regional Partnership Manager (PM)

Once you get in touch, you will be connected with a dedicated Regional Partnership Manager. You can refer a student straight away or take this time to ask any questions you may have. You can even meet with your PM in person if you prefer and bring some of your colleagues along for a live demonstration.

Get a quote

We will send you a quote based on your specific needs. Once you accept it, your account will be set up. You’ll get a link to complete our online enrolment form and will be connected with your Regional Client Administrators. They will be your main point of contact for your onboarding process, so feel free to get in touch with any questions.

All set!

You will receive two set up emails: one to access your mentor portal, and one with login information to be shared with your student(s). Please note that our customer support team only communicates with mentors, and never directly with students.
